The most interesting thing about this one is the deliberate mixing of two levels of media realism — the seed illustration on the page is written as “whimsical illustration...in cartoon soil,” a flat cartoon texture, while the hand pouring the water is written as “a realistic human hand.” One unreal, one real, sitting in the same frame, and that media contrast is itself the core of the concept, not a mistake. The whole prompt only gives one opening action, watering, without saying whether the illustration actually changes because of the water or whether the seed breaks out of the drawing — everything else is left blank. Combined with the need_expanded tag, you can tell this was written as a creative hook from the start, and the key to expanding it is picking up right where “after the watering” leaves off, spelling out whether the illustration comes alive, and the trajectory and lighting of the falling water droplets. Veo 3 is generally a crowd-pleaser at this kind of overhead macro shot with golden lighting for a still-life mood piece, but asking it to handle 2D illustration texture and 3D live-action hand realism at the same time, without it feeling jarring, is a real test of the model's understanding of visual layering.
