✍️ Editor’s Notes
A game-trailer-style dragon rampaging through a village is a big-scene subject, but the original prompt only gives isolated nouns like "colossal dragon," "rampage," "village" — it doesn't even cover basic action details like whether it breathes fire or tramples, the dive angle, or how villagers react. That's essentially asking the model to guess how to shoot an epic scene entirely on its own. The grander the scene, the more it needs concrete camera-movement and lighting instructions to back it up, or you risk getting that mediocre "there's a dragon, there's fire, but no real impact" result. As game-trailer material, pacing and cut frequency actually matter more than how finely modeled the dragon itself is — and that's exactly the thing short prompts most easily leave out.
Want tighter control? Try this expanded version:
A colossal black dragon with molten cracks glowing across its scales dives from stormy clouds toward a quiet medieval village at dusk. Wide establishing shot of thatched-roof houses and villagers running in panic as the dragon's shadow sweeps across the ground. Low-angle shot as it unleashes a roaring torrent of orange fire, engulfing a watchtower which collapses in slow motion with sparks and debris. Cut to a close-up of the dragon's eye reflecting the burning village, smoke swirling around its horns. Final shot: the dragon lands atop the ruined town square, wings spread wide, letting out a thunderous roar as embers rise into the night sky. Style: cinematic game-trailer aesthetic, dramatic orchestral tension implied through visual pacing, dark stormy color grade with fire-orange highlights, dynamic quick cuts between wide and close shots, hyper-detailed dragon scales and fire particle effects, 8K, epic fantasy tone.
