The smart move is not writing “she's moved” directly — instead it's “her face shifts from exhausted to surprised hope,” breaking the performance down into an executable state change. Camera blocking tracks the emotion too: opening tight on her mud-caked hands is a small frame for a small emotional beat, then the crane pulls out into the skyline for a big frame and a big emotional beat — one continuous move handles both the hold and the release. Having the glowing birds pour out of city windows is the classic move of anchoring a fantasy element in a grounded real-world setting — that reads a lot more believable than just dropping in effects out of nowhere.
